This semester, we have had a phenomenal informal recruitment.
Early in the semester, we had four new members. These ladies were Kelsey Hiland, Olivia Cooper, Chelsea Wells, and Jennifer Michel. They recently were initiated into our Gamma Omicron Chapter.
Later in the semester, three more women accepted bids to join Delta Gamma. Danica Beard, Kendall Seward, and Laura Mahan are all new members who will be initiated in the fall. We are very excited for all of our new and newly initiated members.
Our chapter total is currently 52 members. We are continuing to recruit until we reach the Panhellenic total of 55. As summer approaches, VP: Membership Andrea Harris and Director of Recruitment Records Casey Steffey will be continuing to plan formal recruitment. Formal recruitment will be September 11-19. Be looking for updates on events.
Below is the contact information for Andrea and Casey if you have any questions regarding recruitment or upcoming events.

Tandem Race!!
Every year during Spring Week Delta Gamma is paired with a fraternity and rides in the annual tandem race. This year we are paired with Phi Kappa Psi. This year we have a very competitive team so we are aiming to place at least top three in the race. We have been practicing monday through thursday starting from the end of feburary to now. Since our tandem bike is pretty old and occasionally causes us some problems, this year we didnt do so well in quals. We had some issues with the bike chain so our times were pretty slow and on top of that we had a few penalties which put us in 7th for quals. We have been working really hard so we will make up for it on race day. The race is April 18th at 11 am. We welcome you to come watch.

Founders Day
Delta Gamma has been very busy as of lately. We had our annual Founder's Day luncheon on March 22, 2009. There were 26 alumnae present and 45 active members. We had a silent auction to raise money to help redecorate the main suite and they also had a housing corporation meeting to discuss possible ideas. Several awards were handed out for academics and we honored our adviser Kim Ferson for being an outstanding person and resource for us.
In addition on Saturday we initated four wonderful new girls into our chapter. We participated and had a strong finish the Tandem Qualification race for Spring Week on Saturday as well.
